See and Hear what you’ve been missing
Are you a producer, director, cinematographer, videographer, production team, or avid hobbyist? We’re looking for the next breakthrough filmmaking team to create a mind-blowing short video using the new Nokia Lumia Icon – a smartphone designed to deliver the complete video and audio recording package. We’ll give five (5) promising finalist teams $10,000 each and two Icon devices to try their hand at creating the best smartphone video in three weeks (plus an additional behind-the-scenes video). The winning video, decided by our community, will also be featured on Nokia.com and Thrillist.com – gaining tons of exposure across the country.
Think you have what it takes? All you have to do is submit your idea via Rippld, a one-of-a-kind team-building platform. You’ll also be asked why you want to tell this particular story and point us to some examples of your work. Add any team members if you want so we can see everyone, or submit solo.
What are we really looking for? We’ll check out your Rippld portfolio and demonstrated ability to create compelling video or cinematography. We’ll also be scoping out your Rippld Profile and About section to get a feel for who you are. Your video proposal should wow us and feature something that would typically be unseen or unheard, since Icon lets you “see and hear what you’ve been missing.” The more wow, the better!
Anything else? Your video concept should obviously be compelling and have mainstream consumer and media appeal while highlighting Icon’s awesome recording and audio capabilities, including its 20MP image sensor, PureView Zeiss 6-lens camera, and precise placement of four high performance microphones. Oh, and we will give a little extra consideration to people who share their submission for the Lumia Icon Challenge on their social channels using hashtag #LumiaIconChallenge.
